Don Houbler, Metal Magic Owner, has over 38 years of experience in metal fabrication. He started out working at Hopkins at the age of 17 as a summer job and, upon graduating high school, started at Eastern Shipbuilding. There, he learned how to grind, weld, and gouge for around 2 and a half years. He then moved onto BFT doing stainless steel food processing for 7 years. Following BFT, he began working on the road with a combination of employers for over 4 years, then worked for a navy contractor for 3 years. Finally, he got into shop management with Miracle Strip Welding for 15 years, which led him to deciding to start his own company in 2018.

Don has been certified in MIL-STD-248D for 25 years. He has worked all over the United States as a traveling welder, working on boiler tubers, heavy wall pipes and thin wall stainless pipes, and has also fabricated for the United States Navy with tight tolerances. He has built custom T-Tops, gates, handrails, dumpsters, stainless range hoods, luggage carts, and custom handicap fabrications.
